Welcome to Burnsville Elementary School’s Media Center web page.  As your media coordinator,  I teach students how to find and  use the “tools” they need to acquire and evaluate information.  As students search for information pertaining to their classroom curriculum, they are also learning valuable 21st century skills that  enhance life-long learning skills.  We enpower our students with the knowledge of accessing and evaluating information in a global society.

BATMAN OR BATGIRL ?
We will be having a pre-Book Fair contest.  Superheroes is the theme for this year's book fair.  From now until October 11, we will be collecting coins near the office.  On one water jug is a picture of Batman, our principal and the other is Batgirl, our assistant principal.  On October 11th the jug with the most money will be our winner.  The winner will be our official mascot for this year's book fair.
